Shopping Review: Amazon China

It’s quite difficult to get English language books in China. Luckily we have Amazon China. So far I could get whatever books I wanted there. Some books are ready stocks but some of them are need to be delivered from the United States.

This time I bought 2 cookbooks to support my Endo diet. One called “The Complete Vegetarian Cookbook” by America’s Test Kitchen

And another one called “The Anti Inflammatory Diet Cookbook” by Madeline Given, NC.

I will not review the book now, but I will review the shopping experience from Amazon China. So let’s begin…

The books are as described in the listings, One of the book (The Complete Vegetarian Cookbook) has a poor binding (as some people mentioned on Amazon’s review), the packaging was good, delivery time from the United States was 35 days (as estimated). It was a free shipping and I didn’t have to pay duty fee.

The Amazon delivery guy called me in the evening, he sound nervous when I picked up the phone and said, “Hello”. He was silent for a second, I bet he thought “Dang, this foreigner doesn’t speak Chinese!” 😂😂😂 And then he said “Hello” and started to talk in Chinese very slowly. Well, I know a little bit Chinese 😁😁😁 He was nice, so 5 stars for the delivery guy.

For payment method I chose cash on delivery, this is the first time I tried this payment method and no problem at all.

Overall, I feel satisfied with Amazon’s service, 5 stars!

Japanese Matcha

I like green tea. It’s started when I drank my first green tea latte, after that I started to like any kind of green tea, from green tea leaves to green tea powder or matcha.

To be honest I don’t really care about the quality of the tea until recently. I normally buy green tea leaves from local supermarket. 1 bag of 100 grams lasts forever 😆 I also bought matcha powder long time ago. It was a Chinese matcha, i bought 1 can of 100 grams powder for $3.61, they sent me another can. So practically it was 3 dollars for two cans. I didn’t really like the taste, I seldom drank it and ended up threw it.

Cheap Chinese Matcha
A couple days ago I ordered a Japanese Matcha on Taobao. It’s quite expensive compared to the Chinese Matcha. It cost me $8.69 for 40 grams can.

Aoarashi Japanese Matcha – Front

No, it’s not a ceremonial grade matcha (I heard they are really good, I’ve never had one because it’s super expensive 😬).

I just made a glass of green tea with one teaspoon of raw honey. I don’t know how they did it, but it tastes so good! 😋😋😋

Green tea have some benefits for your health, such as lower the risks of some types of cancer, heart dissease, lower cholesterol, reduce risks of stroke, lower the risk of type 2 diabetes, weight loss, hold promise as a new treatment for skin diseases, enhance our brain’s cognitive function, and might help to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

For further information you can check this page:

If you are on certain medications, check on the precautions and risks section on page 3.

If you decided to buy green tea (leaves or powder), buy a good quality green tea, don’t do what I did 😬 Happy tea-ing! 🍵🙌🏼

One More Hot Water Bag!

Another cat hot water bag! 😁

I need to replace my old cat hot water bag, so I got this one. Slightly bigger and softer.

I always have cramps and lower back pain on my period, so I need two water bag to relieve the pain. One for my lower back and one for my abdomen.

I have a big smile on my face because my pain is light today.

I love to feel the heat on my lower back and abdomen. It’s kinda distract my brain from the pain. I usually recharge the bag every 3 hours. The bag will keep warm until 5-6 hours, but it’s not hot enough for me 😬😬😬

I think I’m kinda addicted to the heat to relieve the pain. Before I use the electric bag, I used to use the one where you need to boil the water manually in a kettle. I burnt my lower back almost every month. Seriously, it left blister!

I’m glad I switched to the electric type, it’s much safer. 😊😊😊
