Hello July!

It’s been 2 months since my last post and these last 2 months have been a crazy month! Let’s catch up a little bit, shall we?

US Visa

I traveled to Shanghai and Guangzhou several times to deal with my US immigrant visa. It was exhausting and very stressful! But the good news is, I got the visa, yay! We will move to the states by the end of this month ^_^

Cats

I rescued a 3 months old kitten at the end of May. He has ringworms all over his body and also ear mites in his ears. I treated his ear mites for 3 weeks, the vet told me he was cleared, but guess what? The mites came back as soon as I stop the medication, LOL. Now I have to do the whole process again… plus he still has ringworms. I have another cat that I rescued 5 years ago. I tried my best to separate those two. I even quarantine the new cat in a separate room, but guess what? My older cat got ear mites from him! Oh God, it’s so frustrating coz my older cat is very cranky and difficult to handle -_-”

Pain

In May-June, I had 32 days cycle, this is a new record. I’m not sure it’s a good or a bad thing. Out of the 32 days, I have 15 pain-free days and 6 days of discomfort. I think it’s the best pain-free record for the last 2 years.

In June-July, I had 27 days cycle. Out of 27 days, I have 12 pain-free days and 3 days of discomfort. The cycle was shortened, I guess it’s because of the moving stress and also I ate eggs and duck a couple times. I also ate goat cheese to check whether I was sensitive to it. The result was I’m a little sensitive to it but not as bad as cow cheese. So I think a little amount of goat cheese, once in awhile will do no harm for me.

I have less rectum pain and sciatic pain. Last month I had no sciatic pain at all, yay! I’m on day 6 of my period right now, so we will see what’s going to happen this month :p

I had stomach irritation these last 3 days because of the painkillers. I always take Diclofenac with Domperidone to help to ease any possible stomach irritation, but apparently, 3-4x50mg diclofenac+domperidone a day for two days was too much for my stomach. I had to take 1 tablespoon of olive oil before I eat and also I only eat rice porridge and soup to help my stomach to heal.

Adeno/Endo Diet

I think this month I didn’t do the Adeno/Endo diet as well as the previous month. I had constipation for about 2 weeks, I’m pretty sure I drank lots of fluids, so I’m not sure what caused it.

Exercise

I barely do yoga but I did lots of walking.

Energy

There are some days that I felt exhausted. The travels really drained my energy, but in general, I think I have pretty good energy level.

Supplements

I’m still taking the same supplements as the previous months.

For Spirulina I take 9x500mg per day, sometimes I take more If I feel discomfort. It’s a good alternative for a painkiller for me but only work for light pain or discomfort. I also take red raspberry leaf tea for any uterus discomfort or light pain.

So far, the diet and supplements really help with the pain. Stress management is still hard for me. I will try my best to do better this month.

Thanks for reading. I wish you all a good health and pain-free days!

January PD2 – It’s Snowing in Nanjing

It’s snowing in Nanjing! Yay! 😍

As a person who was born and raised in a tropical country, snowy day is something that I always cherish. I usually will go out and walk around my neighborhood and play with snow. In fact, that’s what I did this early January when we had our first snow in Nanjing. But today, I will stay at home because I’m on my period 😬

Today is our third snowy day of this month. It’s not too common in Nanjing to have more than one snowy day. Last year we only have one snowy day, and it was a thin snow. The year before that also the same. But this year we have more snow and it’s heavy. Schools are closed today, some government offices, even some restaurants are closed! Is global warming causes this cold weather? I do think so 😣

Enough about snow, let’s talk about period 😜

Today is day 3 of my cycle, normally I will be in pain (at least level 3/10) 😅 But guess what? I feel almost no pain today! Yay! This morning I only feel slight rectum discomfort (0.5/10), slight lower back discomfort (0.5/10) and slight lower abdomen discomfort (0.5/10) after I went number 2. I took 1 each of diclofenac+pantoprazole this morning because I was afraid of the pain after I went number 2 (which I usually have!). It’s amazing how little pain I have today😱

Day 1 was the worst pain I have so far for this cycle, and it was level 3-4/10 and last for about 8 hours. On my last cycle, the worst pain was on day 2 with the highest pain level of 4-5/10, I don’t remember how long it was last.

I think the significant pain relief is because of Serrapeptase enzyme that my doctor prescribed me to take since Nov 22, 2017, and also I do better on my Endo diet since early January 2018.

Before I took the Serrapeptase enzyme, my worst pain was on day 2 (Nov 7,2017) with the highest pain level of 7/10 for lower back pain and 4/10 for lower abdomen pain. After two months of Serrapeptase and proper Endo Diet, it’s down to level 3-4/10. And also my cycle has been lengthened from 23 days to 28 days this month! 😱😍

It’s amazing! Now I’m a believer!

I’ll talk more about my pain tracker these last few months and Serrapeptase enzyme in a different post. TTYL!😘

First Update in 2018

Yes, it’s January 16, 2018. It’s a very late new year greetings! 😆

I haven’t posted anything here for more than a month. I was busy failing on my Endo diet and trying to get back on track over and over again! 😅

2018 gives me a new kind of stress in my head. My husband and I are planning to move to his home country this year. We are busy preparing my immigrant visa application and making some scenarios of what ifs. What if I couldn’t get my visa this summer while my husband already told his boss he would not continue his work contract? What if after we moved back to his home country we couldn’t get a job? In my head was, what if after I migrated there my condition not getting better and I couldn’t work? The living cost there is much higher than China’s and if my husband is the only one who works, our life will be more difficult than in China. I wouldn’t have health insurance and the gynecologist cost would be ridiculously expensive. God, I need to take a deep long breath…

Okay, enough with an unnecessary stress that I have just created. New update, my Ayurvedic doctor prescribed me with a new Ayurvedic medicine at the end of December. She also told me to take Serratiopeptidase enzymes – it’s supposed to help to relief my pain naturally because it’s coming from silkworms enzyme (We will talk about it later in a different post) and she told me to take diclofenac to replace ibuprofen (It works much better than ibuprofen for me, but I have to take it with pantoprazole so it won’t irritate my stomach lining). So far my pain is lessened but the duration of the bleeding is lengthened although the bleeding volume is less. This is my second-month taking Serratiopeptidase, I think my body is still adapting. I read that we can see the result of taking Serratiopeptidase after 3 months so we will see!

That’s all for now, I will try to post another update this week.

Ciao!

September PD1

Yesterday I got my period after 18 days late. The pain was terrible, it felt like someone trying to rip my uterus out of my body. I haven’t feel this kind of pain for quite awhile. Yes, I cried. I suspected jogging as the culprit.

I tried to make rice noodle for lunch, the pain was escalating so fast. I felt heavy cramps and I felt that I was going to passed out, I had cold sweats. It was terrible 😖

My husband came home from work around 5pm, I was curling on the couch. He said, “You look terrible, are you in pain?”. Yes, I was in so much pain!

I couldn’t sleep well last night. I took 1 x 200mg liquid ibuprofen around 11:30pm. But it didn’t touch the pain at all. I cried again, frustrated. The pain stayed until around 3am, I couldn’t sleep. I was watching a comedy tv show, but couldn’t distract my brain from my pain. And then I remember about massaging certain spot on my leg that might help with the pain.

I massaged that spot on my left leg, omg it was so painful! I kept doing it for about 15 minutes, I noticed that the pain had lessen. I felt relieved 😌 I massaged my right leg too, it wasn’t as painful as my left side. I was doing it until I fell asleep. Why didn’t I do it earlier? 😅 I really have problem to remember things that useful for my condition 😬

This is my left leg this morning, do you see the bruise? Yes, it’s worthy! 😆
